3 Days in Dallas: the Ultimate Itinerary

Crafting an itinerary full of exciting and unforgettable opportunities comes easily in a place like Dallas. The city is a vibrant hub filled with culture, cuisine, and endless entertainment for travelers. To help you make the most of your time in Dallas, we’ve crafted a three-day itinerary filled with world-class attractions, only steps away from The Adolphus.

Day 1

Offering a wealth of lush landscapes and blooming gardens is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Spanning a generous 66 acres of land, the gardens are a premier venue for lovers of horticulture and serene environments. Upon exploring the space, visitors will encounter 19 themed gardens, an abundance of ongoing educational programs, and a diverse offering of family-friendly events and activities depending on the season.

Following a visit to the gardens, we recommend visiting the Dallas Museum of Art—a true token attraction in the Dallas Arts District, and home to 24,000 works of art from all around the world. Showcasing the works of Georgia O’Keefe, Claude Monet, and Vincent van Gogh, this museum appeases the likes of every Dallas visitor in creative, new ways.

For a delightful afternoon experience, we recommend Tea at The Adolphus, located in The French Room. Guests are welcome to enjoy a three-course menu of tea sandwiches and pastries, paired with a premium selection of fine tea blends. As you sit amidst the ornate architecture, and indulge in sweet and savory bites, you’ll easily see why this locale is such a renowned and timeless treasure in the Lone Star State.

Day 2

Dive deep into the wonder of Dallas sea life at The Dallas World Aquarium, where visitors of all ages can see a variety of aquatic animals like sharks, rays, sea turtles, and diverse fish species up close. Known for its many educational exhibits and conservation efforts, the Aquarium is a prized gem among locals and tourists alike.

After a day at the Aquarium, we recommend taking a trip to Pecan Lodge—home to one of Dallas’ top-rated barbeque spots. Here, you can get a taste of their mouth-watering brisket, pulled pork, hand-made sausage, and delicious sides made in-house.

Next, you can head over to the American Airlines Center—known as Dallas’ premier sports and entertainment arena. Home to the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks, you can catch a game in-season, or attend a concert and watch your favorite artists perform.

Day 3

To start your third day in Dallas with the best panoramic views of the city, head to Reunion Tower—an observation deck that goes up 470 feet in the air. From its high altitude, guests are invited to take scenic pictures, and enjoy the many seasonal activities that are offered.

For some special time in Victory Park, we recommend the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Featuring a wide range of exhibit halls, visitors can explore a world of ancient history, scientific discovery, and special events like Night at the Museum.

Finally, head over to Klyde Warren Park, a 5.2 acre park right in the heart of downtown Dallas. The park showcases a wide range of amenities and activities to take part in such as free fitness classes, a dog park, a children’s park for the little ones, live music events, and convenient dining options.
